The main highways in sanshia are Taiwan Provincial Highway No. 3 and Hightway No. 7 Yi. They connect the arteries from Banciao to Tucheng, sanshia and Datung Bridge , Dapu Road via Erjiiou to the south east of Dasi. The important pathway of Heng River from Chengfu, Ankeng to Sindian is also a county route now and a short cut for sanshia to the Eastern District of Taipei and Lanyang areas.

Over the past 20 years, the government has been actively promoting infrastrucutres.  Firstly, the temporary bridge over the water in Sanying was reconstructed as a cement bridge.  The access roads to mountains have been developed and all narrow bridges were broadened under reconstruction.  Furthermore, the development of Raod 1 (Fushou Road), the construction of sanshia brigdge, and the short cut that connects North-south Highway and freeways were completed.  Furthermore, Provincial Highway No. 3 from section of Mazutian and Jiiasi (Jiieshou Road) to the section of Dasi and Dapu in recently years had been broadened.  Provincial Highway No.3 , looped around the mountains of sanshia,  has become a main road with 4 lanes.

Currently, the main roads for external liaison are Provincial Highway No. 3 ( Taipei – sanshia – Dasi), County Route 110 (Sindian – sanshia – Yingge) and No. 3 Freeway (2nd North Freeway).  For Provincial Highway No. 3, it runs from Taipei in the north to Taoyuan in the south, and for County Route 110, connecting Sindian in the east and Yingge in the west, it may be intersected with the trains.  As for No. 3 Freeway, it runs across the west of sanshia and you can enter the town by exiting from Sanying Interchange to Fusing Road.  You can take No. 1 Freeway to reach Keelung by going northbound from Jhonghe, Sindian, Taipei, and Sijhih. For going southbound, you can take No.1 Freeway from Hsinchu to reach the center and south of Taiwan.  You can also take No. 2 Freeway from Bade(commonly known as system intersection) and reach the CKS Airport in 20 minutes.  The convenient transportation has enabled sanshia to be easily accessed.
