This building (formerly known as Jhaungyichang, the town) has been in sanshia for more than 70 years since it was founded in 1928 and completed in February, 1929.

were called “Cyuyichang”, “Jhaugyichang”, or Jiieyichang”. The mayors were called? “Cyuyichang officer”, “Jhaugyichang officer”, or Jiieyichang officer”
After Taiwan’s restoration in 1946, sanshia Street was renamed as sanshia Town and there was a mayor assigned.? After two indirect elections, it entered the period of
mayor election from the people. It was where the office business was performed before 1986. After the new town was completed, the old building was used for “Joint
Office for Non-governmental Organizations” and in 1992, it was shifted to the use of “Convenience Shop, Joint Government Office Building”. The removal of
“sanshia Joint Shop” to Guoguang Street in 1994 has let the building lie idle.
